Caye Caulker

We arrived in Belize city at 5.20, just in time to dash across and catch the 5.30 sea taxi to Caye Caulker.

It’s a gorgeous Carribean island about an hour from the coast, we have a room 10m away from the sea, surrounded by white sand and coconut trees! Its about 31 degrees (bit too hot really!!) but there is a nice Caribbean breeze in the evening.

Last night we went out and ate Barbecued lobster and Snapper (Fish) which was freshly caught that day. On the way home we found a coconut and managed to get into it with a penknife. We mixed the coconut milk with some Mexican rum and coke and sat on the front porch looking at the moon light.

This afternoon we are off swimming and looking for more coconuts !

Hopefully we will stay here for a few days before heading inland to Guatemala.
